Joining Kenmont

The Kenmont Swim & Tennis Club is a member-run non-profit community organization that is governed by an elected Board of Directors. With 400 families in our active membership when full, Kenmont is more than just a place to swim and play tennis; it's a place to connect with friends in the community and to BBQ and relax. We look forward to you joining us.

2025 Dates and Deadlines

  • February 19 - Registration open for renewing or going inactive
  • March 19 - Registration Deadline. Last date to register and pay your summer dues or become inactive without a late fee.
  • March 20-26: $50 Late Fee. Register for Summer 2025 with a $50 late fee.
  • March 27-April 3: $75 Late, Late Fee. Register for Summer 2025 with a $75 late fee. Lots of last minute registrations make it a lot harder for the board, so we hope we don't collect any late, late fees from you. Register early and save money!
  • After April 3 - Contact membership@kenmont.com to register with a $75 late fee if a spot is still available. We begin offering membership to families on the wait list on April 4th. Active membership is not guaranteed if you haven't registered and paid by April 3.
  • April 1 to mid-June - Blackout period for membership transfers, so complete yours before then for this season!

Full Membership

Kenmont offers area families the following option to join Kenmont Swim & Tennis Club, a not-for-profit 501(c)7 social/recreation association governed by By-Laws

Initiation Fee for Full Memberships

One-time payment of a $900 initiation fee for access to Kenmont. Fully-paid, active members have voting privileges in the Association and may sell their membership (see details below).

2025 Annual Dues for Full Memberships

In addition to the Initiation Fee, each family pays Annual Dues that are based on family size. Dues have been increased approximately 2% since last year. Current dues are:

1st Family Member: $510

2nd Family Member: $185

Each additional member: $112.50

  • Children under age 3 as of January 1 of the upcoming season are FREE and you will not be charged for them.
  • Families with members ages 62+ receive a $25 discount per senior, maximum of two per membership.

Capital Improvement Fee - Waived for 2025

A $150.00 capital improvement fee will usually be added annually to each membership to fund capital improvements to the Kenmont facility. We have waived the $150 Capital Improvement Fee for 2025 to support federal workers who may be affected by furloughs or terminations. This limited-time adjustment aims to ensure continued access to membership benefits during uncertain times.

Household Definition and Rules

A family member is considered a person living in the same household and at the same address, and legally related to the primary member. We reserve the right to request proof of relationship in order to determine any family member listed is eligible for membership as part of this family. Kenmont also allows au-pairs, nannies, or child care providers to be listed as an eligible family member provided that they are working at least 20 hours per week in this capacity. Kenmont does not discriminate on the basis of race, creed, national origin, religion, age, sex or disability.

Maintaining Your Membership

Each year members must maintain their membership by:

  • paying Annual Dues for Active Status, or
  • paying $300  $150 (reduced in 2025) a year maintenance fee for Inactive Status

If an installment member fails to maintain their membership, they lose 1/3 value of their "membership interest" for each year not maintained.  Once the "membership interest" reaches zero ($0), the member loses all rights to their membership. More information is available in the By-Laws.

We are temporarily reducing the Inactive Membership fee, from $300 to $150 in 2025, to support federal workers who may be affected by furloughs or terminations. This limited-time adjustment aims to ensure continued access to membership benefits during uncertain times.

Renew

Selling or Transferring Your Membership

Fully-paid members who have maintained their membership and have a full "membership interest" may sell their Membership to another family (Transfer) or to the board (Repurchase). The selling family must pay Kenmont a one-time  fee of $500.
