About Kenmont

Kenmont is one of Montgomery County's first and most successful community swim and tennis clubs. Established in 1958, we are located on three acres of beautiful wooded land in the northeast corner of Kensington, Maryland, adjacent to the Wheaton Westfield Mall.

A not-for-profit private club open to members and their guests, Kenmont is more than just a place to swim and play tennis or pickleball; we are a community of 400 families who enjoy spendingtime together - swimming, playing, dining, and relaxing.

The Kensington Heights Recreation Association, Inc. t/a Kenmont Swim & Tennis Club is a non-profit community organization that is governed by an elected Board of Directors.  There is a rich tradition at Kenmont Swim & Tennis Club. With 400 families in our membership, Kenmont is more than just a place to swim and play tennis and pickleball; it's a community with events and activities for the whole family.

Inclement Weather Policy

Expecting rain? We follow Montgomery County, MD Guidelines as follows:

• At the first sound of thunder, a lifeguard and/or a pool manager will announce the pool is closed. At that time, all patrons must be leave the pool deck and either go in the clubhouse or in their cars.
• From the last sound of thunder, the pool will remain closed for at least 30 minutes. If lightning is seen, the pool will be closed for 1 hour and will remain closed until an hour has passed since the last sighting of lightning.

If the weather looks questionable, please DO NOT drop your child off.

The safety of our patrons is our paramount concern, so the pool may be closed before the first sound of thunder if the lifeguard and/or pool manager feels there is a risk of injury to any person using the facility.
