Kenmont is Closed for the Season

Message from the Board

Monday, July 6, 2020

Dear Kenmont Families,

We hope everyone enjoyed swimming, playing tennis, and lounging on the deck or grounds this past week. A big thank you to everybody who shared comments and suggestions on Club operations. This helps us to keep the member experience as enjoyable as possible under these unprecedented circumstances.

Here are a few points to be aware of:

Main Pool and Lap Pool Availability During Two-Hour Time Slot
In order to comply with Covid-19 rules, the main pool will be closed to all swimmers 45 minutes after the beginning of a session, for 15 minutes, so that guards can clean and sanitize the ladders. The lap pool will remain open for the entire session.

Daily Reservation Procedure
At 9am each morning, members may reserve one same-day reservation for that day. This will not count against your weekly limit of three advanced reservations.

Cancelling your Reservation
The system does not allow for members to cancel their own reservations. In order to cancel a reservation, please email

Masks and Social Distancing

We appreciate everyone's commitment to keeping the Club virus-free by wearing masks and social distancing while on the ground. As a reminder, the Covid-19 rules posted on our website indicate:

  • Members must wear face coverings while moving about Kenmont. Members are not required to wear face coverings while sunbathing or sitting six feet away from non-family members. Members are not to wear face coverings while in the pool.
  •  Members must observe all social distancing directives and policies to include, at a minimum, maintaining at least six feet distance from all non-family members.

The responsibility for ensuring that these important safety guidelines are followed rests with each of us. Our children are, by-and-large, following the rules, but occasionally some of them could benefit from reminders!  We ask all parents and guardians to remind children to practice social distancing in and out of the pool and to wear masks while walking on the grounds. This is a Montgomery County Requirement that we are obliged to follow. Thank you again for your continued cooperation.

Games in the Diving Well
Per Kenmont’s Covid-19 rules, “There will be no large swim games in the main pool well, e.g., beaver, or Sunday Raft Night.”

Thank you all for accepting and adapting to the new rules and regulations for the Summer. It’s Kenmont community spirit at its best! We look forward to continued enjoyment of the Club’s facilities with you this coming week! If you have questions or comments, please contact us at
